Sinuses are present in our face. There are total four types of sinuses.
1.	Frontal sinus
2.	Ethemoidal sinus
3.	Sphenoidal sinus
4.	Maxillary sinus

Sinusitis means the inflammation of sinus cavities. The function of sinus is to maintain body temperature and strengthens the facial bone. Due to infection and inflammation in the sinus cavities the air is not humidified and warmed up which results in decreasing the body temperature. The patient having sinusitis suffers from severe headache.

The conventional methods are available for treating sinusitis but are not much effective. The alternative source to ease your pain is Acupressure.

Acupressure: It is a technique where the pressure is applied on the acupoints which in turn gives relaxation.
In doing acupressure it is important to pay attention to any areas which are sore or numb, tingle, or feel unusually hot or cold. It sometimes happens that acupoints that need to be worked will be sore or have other odd sensations like cold, heat, numbness, etc.
Acupressure for sinuses helps to get relax from the headache and other symptoms. There are some sinus pressure points like areas on the head, face and either side of nostrils. The sides of the bridge of the nose and middle of the forehead between the eyebrows are other two points for sinus. The other acupressure for sinus does not lies only on face there are other spots also like on back of the neck and the top of the hands.

There is a sensitive point at the center of the back of the upper neck, where the skull bones end and the soft tissue begin. This is the acupressure point. Apply pressure there with your middle finger for three minutes as the time will go very likely, your sinuses would begin to draw off and your pressure or congestion relieved. At the beginning you may want to do this several times a day whenever pressure begins to build up. Later on, as the sinuses are healed, you may want to reduce this number.

Experimenting with acupressure for sinus release may help to relieve the pain and pressure of this devastating problem even more than medication or help sinus sufferers to avoid the need for sinus surgery. If traditional methods of sinus relief aren’t working, holistic treatments such as acupressure can be a welcomed new treatment. For example, certain foods, irritants, allergies, smog, etc. Keeping the sinuses clear by using acupressure is a step in the right direction for healthy sinuses.
