The remedies for dry scalp are available from dermatologist, over the counters at the pharmacies and drug stores and you many find the same at your home as well. The body oil and moisturizers are considered the best to treat dry scalp. We apply those greasy elements on the body skin but forget the skin beneath the hairs and that portion remains dry due to the climatic condition and tension. There are two basic home remedies for dry scalp observed – massage and moisturizer. Massage will improve the circulation and that would help to produce more natural oils and save the skin of the scalp from drying and offer shine to the hairs too. Once you treat the dry scalp, a good massage of a shorter duration once a week can help greatly to restore the level of oil production into the scalp that prevents the scalp from drying again. There are many remedies are prevailing in the modern times but it us up to an individual to select the best home remedy for dry scalp. Let’s examine and practice some of them offered:

1)      Massage the mixture of olive oil and finely crushed aspirin for 7 – 8 minutes and then shampoo hairs with your favorite shampoo.

2)      Simmer 12 tablespoons of oatmeal in 6 cups boiling water for one hour, strain oatmeal reserving water, add some rosemary oil to oat and apply to scalp.

3)      Add two tablespoon of gram flour into a cup of coconut milk, apply on the scalp and massage gently. Rinse the hair after few minutes. This is the best and most effectual home remedy for the dry hair. Use this method once in a week.

4)      Massage the scalp with warm almond, coconut or olive oil to the scalp, leave it for at least half an hour and then shampoo the scalp. It would add lust and shine into the hair, improve the construction of the hair and make the hairs manageable and strong from the roots.

5)      Mix one tea spoon of Aloe Vera gen and lemon juice added by your shampoo and rinse the hairs with this mixture regularly at least twice in a week to clean your scalp and shine your hairs.

6)      Boil two tablespoons of mint in one and half glass of water for nearly 20 minutes, strain the mixture and mix it with the regular used shampoo. Continue the same practice regularly and get rid of excessive oil from the hair.

7)      Drinking one cup of lettuce and spinach juice in combination is the ideal solution to avoid dry scalp.

Weather condition, allergies, continuous use of air conditioners and irritants found in the shampoo, soap and hair styling products are also contribute in drying the scalp. A combination of massage, moisturizing and easy to make home remedies for dry scalp, will ensure the restoration of natural oils and save the scalp from getting dry.
