Arthritis means inflammation of joints. The people suffer from pain, swelling and redness.
Acupressure relieves arthritic pain in several of ways. As you hold the acupressure point it enables elevated energy to move through the body and this energy helps in relieving the pain and healing the joints.
Next it relieves pain by releasing tension and stress. By acupressure the blocked energy is released and hence increases circulation and enables the person to be comfortable instead of stressing against their arthritic pain. By being more relaxed you can manage better with it, breathe easier, and have more energy in your daily life.
Acupressure points when hold releases a neurochemical called endorphins. These endorphins are the substance said to be involved in relieving the pain. These are natural chemicals released by our body and with the help of acupressure it circulates throughout the body.

I have joint pain in my fingers in the mornings. I tried acupressure at night before going to bed. There is no pain in my fingers any more except for the little finger on both hands. I cannot curl them in the morning and there is stiffness in spite of my pressing on the acupressure points as described above. Can anyone tell me the pressure points for reducing the pain on the little fingers of both hands?
