pranayam-benefitsPranayams are very old and ancient forms of Indian saints and sages to do breathing exercises. Anulom Vilom Pranayam is a very simple but an effective exercise. Holding yone’s right nasal with thumb, breathe in from left. Then opening right nasal and close left nasal with middle and ring finger and breathe out from right nasal. Then breathe in from right nasal. Then close right nasal and open left and breathe out and in from left nasal. Continue doing it for atleast 10 mins.
It benefits the heart, high BP, heart blockage, vat-cuf-pit, arthritis, cartilage, bent ligaments, sinual fluid reduced, parkinson, paralysis, neural related, depression, migraine pain, asthma, sinus, allergy. The best tip when one does Anulom Vilom Pranayam is to breathe into lungs and not to stomach. No organ in stomach absorbs oxygen. One should not hurry and do it slowly. One should always rest whenever needed.
There are many other Pranayams as effective as anulom vilom Pranayam which benefit the entire body. Kapalbhati Pranayam is very useful and highly beneficial for human body. Pushing the air forcefully out. The Stomach will itself go in. Starting Kapalbhati pranayam with 30 times or 1 min. Then increase upto 5 mins min. upto 10 mins max. Benefits of doing Kapalbhati is that it brings aabha, tej to one’s being. Problems like obesity, constipation, gastric, acidity, Croesus(liver), hepatitis B, uterus, diabetes, stomach problems, cholesterol, allergic problems, asthma, snoring, concentration, and even cancer and AIDS are cured by Kapalbhati Pranayam.
The best tip when one does Kapalbhati Pranayam is that heart and high BP patients, and weak people do it slowly.

Perfection in Pranayam benefits one the major eight Siddhis viz., Anima, Mahima, Laghima, Garima, Prapti, Prakamya, Vasitvam and Isitvam. Explanation: Bring the thumb down on little finger so that the tip of the thumb touches to the tip of the little finger. Keep all remaining three fingers comfortably straight.

Vayu Mudra

Explanation: Bring the index finger on to the base of the thumb and then press it with the thumb. Keep all the remaining three fingers comfortably straight. And it should be done for 45 minutes.

(3) Flexiblizes stiffness in the neck
(4) Helps recover knee pain
(5) Cures Gout
(6) Helps in recovering all types of joint pain in hands and feet

Explanation: Bring the middle finger on to the mount of Venus and then press it with the thumb. Keep all remaining three fingers comfortably straight. It should be done 40 to 60 minutes daily until the disease is cured.

Apan Mudra

(3) Makes the lungs strong
(4) Helps in proper digestion

(It should be made sure that plenty of water is consumed as Linga Mudra generates heat in your body.

Surabhi Mudra

Explanation: Join the little finger and ring finger and then join the middle finger and index finger together. This posture can also be called “The Cow Posture” beecause the mudra makes cloven hooves of one’s hand.,

(2) Sharpens your intellect

Surahi Mudra

Explanation: Join the little finger of one hand with the ring finger of the other and vice versa. In the same way join the forefinger with the middle finger of the other hand and vice versa. Leave your thumbs free.

Physical Wisdom – Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is a meditative and physical yoga methodology, made up of a set of systems that involve the use of body, mind and senses to create a help the “mind” and the “body” communicate with each other. Kundalini – a concentrated form of life force or to say “prana”, lies dormant in the body. It is believed to be present in the chakras. It is visualized as a ‘kundalini’which, in Sanskrit, means a “Coiled Serpent”. The role of spine and the endocrine system receive a special consideration in the understanding of yogic awakening in the field of Kundalini yoga. It focuses on psycho-spiritual growth and the body’s potential for maturation.

The serpent of Kundalini yoga is considered to be female. It is believed that the sperpent coils up about three and a half times, with its mouth engulfing the base of the Sushumna nadi.

In the classical literature of Kashmir Shaivism kundalini is described in three different manifestations. The first of these is as the universal energy or para-kundalini. The second of these is as the energizing function of the body-mind complex or prana-kundalini. The third of these is as consciousness or shakti-kundalini which simultaneously subsumes and intermediates between these two. Ultimately these three forms are the same but understanding these three different forms will help to understand the different manifestations of kundalini.
