  1. Position your bed properly in your room: According to feng shui, you should place your bed slightly away from the door. While sleeping, having a view of the door gives us the feeling of being secured and safe even when you are sleeping. Thus, it allows you to have a peaceful and relaxed sleep. Thus, it is better to position your bed diagonally in the opposite direction of the door. Also, the foot of the bed shouldn’t point towards the door as in feng shui, this position is that of a coffin which doesn’t allow you to remain in a relaxed state in your bedroom. Another important thing that should be taken care off, while placing your bed is that of placing your bed against a wall and not under some window as it is believed that the energy enters and leaves through the window causing restlessness. The bed should have equal space on both the sides for both the people sleeping on it for their convenience to get up and get off from the bed. Finally the bed shouldn’t be placed below any decorative thing hanging on the wall like a fan or a chandelier.
  2. Always use your bedroom as just a bedroom: Your bedroom should just have your bed and other small necessities rather than the television set, computers, workspace or the exercising machines as they are thought to distract you from your rest which thus causes irregular sleep and anxiety. If you have a television in your room, then to avoid its effects you can simply use a cloth to cover it before you go to sleep.
  3. Keep your bedroom clean: When you return from work, we all feel relaxed when we enter into a clean and tidy room. A messed room actually blocks the energy flow which thus leads to anxiety, disturbed sleep, and stagnation which indirectly prevents your life to move ahead. The space below your bed should be kept clean and empty. You should not use it as a space to store things.
  4. Place the mirrors properly: It is believed that the mirrors in your bedroom don’t let you sleep properly and cause disturbed sleep. Mirrors bounce back the energy that is around them which causes anxiety and disturbed sleep. In case you have a mirror in your room, then you shouldn’t place them next to the bed or along the same wall of your bed. Also, while sleeping or lying on the bed, you shouldn’t be able to see your image in the mirror. Also according to feng shui principles, a mirror against the wall opposite to your bed is thought to promote an intrusion in your relationship or infidelity.  Thus, it is better to cover them with a piece of cloth when not in use to avoid its effects.
  5. Use accessories in pairs: Avoid placing sad images or decorative items with a single person as this symbolizes loneliness and solitude. Avoid the images with water as images with water in a bedroom may cause financial losses or even loss of relationships. Instead place some beautiful and inspiring art piece so that it inspires your life also. Accessories in the room should always be in pairs as it is better to have two night stands rather than a single night stand in life. The edges in the decorative should be rounded or oval shaped in preference to pointed edges.
  6. Choose light and balanced colors: Warm colors like the skin tone seem to sooth our life. Thus, it is better to use beige, yellow, coral or cocoa color in your bedroom. Light blue, green and the lavender colors in the room make you feel relaxed but also encourage sleep. Thus, it is better to have balanced colors in the bedroom which will not just relax you but also make you feel the love and the warmth of the room.
